It's part of Pierce County same as Tacoma and adjacent to Kitsap County. It's not crowded like Seattle or Tacoma, yet easy to get to. Another important reason is the schools.

It comprises of 15 schools and 8,700 students and is considered one of the strongest and most innovative schools in the state and one of the reasons why many people move to the area.
