Gig Harbor, WA - Enjoy Beautiful Parks

Gig Harbor, WA - Enjoy Beautiful Parks

Why Do People Live here?

Gig Harbor is unique in that it is on a peninsula (Kitsap). That has kept it somewhat isolated from the rest of Washington, but yet connected by bridges. It's part of Pierce County same as Tacoma and adjacent to Kitsap County. It's not crowded like Seattle or Tacoma, yet easy to get to. Another reason is the Parks.

Parks - Community & Natural Area

Gig Harbor, WA
There are waterfront parks that make the shoreline publicly accessible and there are 6 community parks. I've been to most of them and lived right next to Kopachuck State Park, where you can see Cutts Island or what we called Deadman's Island across from there. Parks and recreation are very important to people on the Peninsula.

Parks shown below include city, county, state and PenMet and are in geographical order as some are connected or easy walking or driving distance to each other. State Parks may require Discover Pass for vehicle access.
