What color do I paint my home for resale?

I am not an interior decorator and frankly I am a bit color blind, but I was asked what color to paint a waterfront condo for resale, should they use a boring white?

Whether a condo or home I wouldn't do a boring white as a lot of outdoor light can be too harsh and reflective and you want to complement your furniture and surroundings. If on the waterfront consider a more aqua gray and if in a more rural forest area maybe shift more toward a green gray.

The colors potential buyers see when they enter your home should be neutral so that the buyers will not be distracted by someone else's style. They should see the walls of your home as a blank canvas on which to project their own preferences and style. But "neutral" doesn't necessarily mean white. Using subtle color can actually enhance the buyer's experience, so repaint walls that have strong colors with rich neutral hues.

I would choose the blue-grey category for a waterview, but an aqua gray can work also depending on your furnisher color. Both are still a neutral scheme. Lighter colors for wall and maybe a pop of dark color for a door. Match trim to walls if you want the rooms to look bigger. Paint a door a bolder color.

When decorating don't be limited by the palette, establish a variety of different textures. Wood grains and fabric wallcoverings, natural-fiber rugs, and rustic furnishings add richness and depth, echoed by organic surfaces like marble backsplashes and granite countertops.

I'm over the taupe beiges. I want something young and more vibrant. What are your thoughts?
